jun 20, 2016

At the beginning of June, personnel of Metro de Madrid completed a Course on Rolling Stock Simulation Models taught by CITEF.

The classroom course lasted 32 hours and was divided into two modules: on the one side, training in the use of a multi-body simulation tool and its application to railway dynamics, and on the other, the analysis and use of the rolling stock models of Metro de Madrid, developed by CITEF under the same tool.

The ultimate purpose of the course is for the students of several departments of Metro de Madrid to learn first-hand and familiarise themselves with the tool in general and with the models developed, for them to be capable of conducting their own analyses, both from a point of view of the proper functioning of the vehicle and its interaction with the infrastructure.

Upon conclusion of the course, the ten attendees demonstrated a high degree of satisfaction with the contents and the excellent technical level. Among the best-valued aspects, the teachers and the contents/subject stood out with a score of 8.75 out of 10.
